Veli Dedi mbeti pa baba q\u00eb n\u00eb mosh\u00ebn kat\u00ebrvje\u00e7are, nj\u00eb humbje q\u00eb la nj\u00eb zbraz\u00ebti t\u00eb thell\u00eb n\u00eb shpirtin e tij, t\u00eb cil\u00ebn p\u00ebrpiqej ta kompensonte p\u00ebrmes dashuris\u00eb ndaj vendlindjes dhe kombit t\u00eb tij. Shkoll\u00ebn fillore e kreu n\u00eb vendlindje, nd\u00ebrsa t\u00eb mesmen n\u00eb Leskovc dhe Beograd, ku iu propozua t\u00eb vazhdonte shkoll\u00ebn ushtarake, por refuzoi p\u00ebr t\u00eb ndjekur rrug\u00ebn e ushtris\u00eb shqiptare, sipas k\u00ebshill\u00ebs s\u00eb n\u00ebn\u00ebs. N\u00eb mosh\u00ebn 20 vje\u00e7are u arratis n\u00eb Shqip\u00ebri dhe u regjistrua n\u00eb Shkoll\u00ebn Ushtarake Mbret\u00ebrore, t\u00eb cil\u00ebn e p\u00ebrfundoi n\u00eb vitin 1933. Bisedat dhe k\u00ebng\u00ebt q\u00eb d\u00ebgjonte n\u00eb odat e Jablanic\u00ebs mbi trim\u00ebrin\u00eb shqiptare ndikuan n\u00eb pasionin e tij p\u00ebr shkencat ushtarake dhe p\u00ebr ruajtjen e tradit\u00ebs komb\u00ebtare.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>N\u00eb vitin 1936, ai mori pjes\u00eb n\u00eb luft\u00ebn e Spanj\u00ebs, duke u rreshtuar bashk\u00eb me 23 vullnetar\u00eb shqiptar\u00eb n\u00eb brigadat nd\u00ebrkomb\u00ebtare, kryesisht n\u00eb brigad\u00ebn \u201cGaribaldi\u201d. Luft\u00ebtar\u00ebt, shumica jo komunist\u00eb, ndanin idealin antifashist dhe nd\u00ebrkomb\u00ebtar. Veli Dedi mori pjes\u00eb n\u00eb shum\u00eb beteja n\u00eb Albacete, Aragon dhe Madrid, deri m\u00eb 14 shkurt 1939, kur forcat e frontit t\u00eb Katalonis\u00eb u t\u00ebrhoq\u00ebn n\u00eb Franc\u00eb. Atje, pas internimit, u lidh me grupet e PK t\u00eb Franc\u00ebs, \u00c7ekis\u00eb dhe Italis\u00eb dhe nga viti 1942 iu bashkua rezistenc\u00ebs antifashiste guerile franceze, ku ushtroi detyra t\u00eb r\u00ebnd\u00ebsishme si an\u00ebtar i sh\u00ebrbimit informativ, komandant kompanie dhe z\u00ebvend\u00ebs komandant i departamentit, duke arritur grad\u00ebn major n\u00eb gusht 1944.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>N\u00eb vitin 1945, ai u em\u00ebrua komandant i zon\u00ebs XV ushtarake p\u00ebr t\u00eb ndihmuar garibaldian\u00ebt n\u00eb Italin\u00eb e Veriut. M\u00eb 22 janar 1946, Veli Dedi u kthye n\u00eb Shqip\u00ebri bashk\u00eb me t\u00eb shoqen, Elena Domeniko Rampone, gjithashtu luft\u00ebtare e rezistenc\u00ebs franceze. U integrua n\u00eb Ushtrin\u00eb Popullore Shqiptare, duke mbajtur poste t\u00eb ndryshme: shef i Deg\u00ebs s\u00eb Xhenios n\u00eb MMP, komandant i Garnizonit t\u00eb Tiran\u00ebs dhe drejtor i Arkivit t\u00eb Shtetit, ku u gradua gjeneralmajor. Q\u00eb nga viti 1962 deri n\u00eb vitin 1972, punoi n\u00eb MPB si funksionar i Veteran\u00ebve t\u00eb Luft\u00ebs Antifashiste Nacional\u00e7lirimtare. P\u00ebr merita t\u00eb jasht\u00ebzakonshme, u dekorua me titullin m\u00eb t\u00eb lart\u00eb \u201cHero i Popullit\u201d dhe shum\u00eb urdhra e medalje, si dhe me dekorata p\u00ebr Luft\u00ebn e Spanj\u00ebs: \u201cKavalier i Liris\u00eb\u201d dhe urdhrin \u201cLuft\u00ebtar i brigadave nd\u00ebrkomb\u00ebtare\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Veli Dedi ishte gjithashtu deputet n\u00eb kat\u00ebr legjislatura p\u00ebr rrethin e Tropoj\u00ebs, duke praktikuar nj\u00eb model t\u00eb ve\u00e7ant\u00eb lidhjeje me popullin: ai vizitonte njer\u00ebzit n\u00eb sht\u00ebpit\u00eb e tyre p\u00ebr t\u2019i d\u00ebgjuar dhe kuptuar nevojat dhe mendimet e tyre. Aktiv dhe i p\u00ebrkushtuar deri n\u00eb fund t\u00eb jet\u00ebs, ai evokonte shpesh kujtimet e luft\u00ebs n\u00eb Spanj\u00eb dhe idealet humanitare t\u00eb bashk\u00ebluft\u00ebtar\u00ebve t\u00eb tij. P\u00ebr Veli Dedin, oficeri duhej t\u00eb dallonte nga ushtari jo p\u00ebr grad\u00ebn, por p\u00ebr kultur\u00ebn, njohjen e historis\u00eb dhe respektin ndaj njer\u00ebzve n\u00ebn komand\u00ebn e tij.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Gjenerali Veli Dedi vdiq n\u00eb mosh\u00ebn 83 vje\u00e7are dhe u varros me nderime shtet\u00ebrore n\u00eb varrezat e personaliteteve t\u00eb merituara n\u00eb Tiran\u00eb.
