Ai ishte gjuh\u00ebtari q\u00eb e lidhi tradit\u00ebn me shkenc\u00ebn moderne, profesori q\u00eb edukoi breza t\u00eb t\u00ebr\u00eb, dhe akademiku q\u00eb me vizionin e tij ngriti institucionet m\u00eb t\u00eb r\u00ebnd\u00ebsishme t\u00eb jet\u00ebs shkencore e komb\u00ebtare.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lindi n\u00eb Tupall\u00eb t\u00eb Medvegj\u00ebs, m\u00eb 26 qershor 1917. Shkoll\u00ebn fillore e kreu n\u00eb Siarin\u00eb, gjimnazin n\u00eb Shkup dhe studimet universitare n\u00eb Zagreb e Beograd, ku mbrojti doktorat\u00ebn m\u00eb 1958 me nj\u00eb studim themelor mbi t\u00eb folmen gege t\u00eb Zar\u00ebs. Prej gjimnazit t\u00eb Prishtin\u00ebs e deri n\u00eb Universitetin e Prishtin\u00ebs, ku arriti profesor ordinar, ai u b\u00eb shtylla kryesore e arsimit t\u00eb lart\u00eb n\u00eb gjuh\u00ebsi. Si nj\u00eb nga nism\u00ebtar\u00ebt kryesor\u00eb t\u00eb nj\u00ebsimit t\u00eb gjuh\u00ebs letrare shqipe, ai luajti rol vendimtar n\u00eb konsolidimin e drejtshkrimit dhe n\u00eb themelimin e organeve shkencore si revista \u201cGjurmime albanologjike\u201d dhe Seminari Nd\u00ebrkomb\u00ebtar i Gjuh\u00ebs dhe Kultur\u00ebs Shqiptare.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>N\u00eb vepr\u00ebn e tij p\u00ebrmenden tituj themelor\u00eb si Hymje n\u00eb historin\u00eb e gjuh\u00ebs shqipe (1963), Historia e gjuh\u00ebs shqipe (1969), Studime gjuh\u00ebsore n\u00eb fush\u00eb t\u00eb shqipes (I\u2013IV, 1982\u20131989), Shqiptar\u00ebt dhe gjuha e tyre (1994) dhe serit\u00eb Vepra (1997\u20132002). P\u00ebr meritat e tij u nderua me \u00e7mime e dekorata t\u00eb shumta, duke mbetur gjithnj\u00eb n\u00eb sh\u00ebrbim t\u00eb shkenc\u00ebs dhe kombit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Idriz Ajeti nuk ishte vet\u00ebm nj\u00eb studiues i gjuh\u00ebs \u2013 ai ishte vet\u00eb z\u00ebri i saj i gjall\u00eb, q\u00eb u shnd\u00ebrrua n\u00eb institucion.
